Insect Control

Lawn-damaging insects such as grubs, chinch bugs, sod webworms, and billbugs feed on roots, stems, and leaf tissue, causing thinning, brown patches, and turf collapse if left untreated; at Bear Creek Turf we monitor for these pests with regular turf inspections, soil probes, turf health assessments, and targeted sampling (looking for damaged crowns, pulling back turf to expose white grubs, and using soap flushes for chinch bugs), combined with historical pest data and seasonal scouting to time treatments precisely. When thresholds are exceeded we use integrated pest management: cultural practices like proper mowing, irrigation, and core aeration to strengthen the lawn; biological options such as beneficial nematodes for grub control when appropriate; and selective, low-impact insecticides applied in precise, calibrated treatments to minimize non-target effects while effectively suppressing outbreaks. Regular follow-up inspections and client communication ensure treatments are working and allow us to adjust plans to protect and restore your lawn’s health.
